<p>A colour photograph of Dolgellau, described as a delightful inland resort situated near to the head of the Mawddach estuary. The Dolgellau-Barmouth railway line can be seen in the bottom left hand corner running alongside the River Wnion and The Marian playing grounds and car park.

<p>(L to R) Cerys Pugh and Jennifer Hutcheson at the front door of Dol’rhyd (“Dol”), who were part of a group of us who had been to Dol for tea. It was customary for girls in the Sixth Form to attend different houses for tea. It is unclear what Jennie is holding in this photograph (a metal claw?), but it is clear that it was the source of some amusement.
