<p>This picture shows either a games lesson or maybe just an after school leisure swim. Top board seemed much higher than it actually was. The pool is surrounded by wooden fencing. In the corner you can see someone taking the obligatory cold shower. In the background is Tremhyfryd which was also part of the school. At this time it was one of the houses where boarders slept.

<p>This image shows the pool, the changing room and the benches at the side - with two relatively warmly clad spectators. Presumably they have been excused games.
The school would assemble to watch annual 'House' swimming and diving competitions. Most pupils in this picture appear to be trying to keep warm while awaiting their turn to swim.

<p>On board the Dover-Calais ferry on a freezing January day. Miss Eleri Edwards (French) was joint trip leader with Miss Robinson (English) and Miss Edwards' brother David - the only skier in the party! Outside the ski chalet - Sandra Thomas, Sue (or Jane) McLellan, Fenella Walsh?, Helen Platt, Hilary Davies, Janet Jones, Sue Bradbury, Rachel Williams. Note the comfy leather ski boots worn by Jane McLellan & Janet Jones, much better than modern ones.
