A congratulatory telegram was sent to Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip on their wedding day, including special greetings to Prince Philip on his being created Duke of Merioneth. This was organised by the Head Girl Bronwen Pugh on behalf of all the pupils of Dr Williams' School
