The Holland Medal was awarded for good conduct in 1944 to my mother, Jean Petty (Crowther) who was Head Girl 1943-44. In my mother’s last school report, Head Mistress Miss Orford wrote: “She has carried out her duties as Head Girl with loyalty, dignity and quiet confidence and she has exerted an excellent influence.”
