Subjects included English, French, Welsh,German, Latin and Greek. Then there was Aural Culture, Hygiene, Class Singing, Domestic Science, Handicrafts, Speech Training,Games and Dancing, Art, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. General Certificate of Education examinations were taken at Advanced and Ordinary level.

At this time the prospectus states there was a Domestic Science House. Here girls could 'learn by practical experience catering, buying, cooking, entertaining, needlework, decorating and household repairs' apparently.

Most of the 'extra subjects' on offer involved learning how to play a musical instrument.
