Two new pupils describe the train journey to 'Dolgelley'.The language they use sounds like Angela Brazil's fictional accounts of jolly boarding school life.Margaret and Hilary feel their spirits lift. Other girls travelling are in the 'highest spirits'.Friendly girls, very generous with 'tuck'who raised many a 'hearty laugh'.More 'jolly and noisy girls'were introduced. They 'seemed to become one of them all at once'.The girls unpack, eat a'hearty meal' are 'ordered to bed'a member of DWS at last.
