Christmas concert programme 1965 - final page

The audience and school sang 'A Great and Mighty Wonder' a German 15th century. The choir then sang 'Ni aned Neb', an old Welsh carol.

Traditionally the Christmas concert ended with 'O Come, all ye Faithful'and the 'Recession' from Britten's 'Ceremony of Carols'- 'Hodie Christus Natus Est'. A small group of singers, formed from the Madrigal Society, would leave the hall and sing the 'Hodie' by candlelight. Their sound drifted away along the corridors as the audience listened,it was magical.
